What is AWJ?

You probably have heard us talk about AWJ or Athletic Wicking Jersey a few times when talking about our reusable diapers. So, what is it? The closest thing we can compare it to, if you've never seen it in person is basketball shorts because it is the same material! It is a synthetic fabric, that 'wicks' away moisture from baby's buns, or sweat away . This is to create a dry feeling, much like a disposable diaper. It is a great option for babies who don't like to feel wet, or get wetness rashes. It also tends to keep babies cooler in the summer months when outside or even when its roasty and toasty inside. Many parents prefer AWJ over other materials because it makes for a very easy cleaup when there are any popos. I wish I would have found AWJ when first starting out our cloth diaper journey because we ended up loving it so much, we switched most of our stash over.
